Ministry of Industry issues 20 mining licenses in May

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 20 new mining licenses in May.  

These licenses included 14 building materials quarry licenses and six others for exploration. 

The total number of active mining licenses in the sector amounted to 2,294 licenses by the end of May, led by building materials licenses (1,464 licenses), then exploration with 571 licenses, according to National Center of Industrial and Mining Information, the ministry said on X platform. 

The mining and exploitation of small mines came in third (199 licenses), followed by reconnaissance (40 licenses), and surplus mineral ore (20 licenses).
