Six Saudi cement companies joined the Industrial Sector Competitiveness Program, launched by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
The program is designed to drive sustainable transformation in the sector, enhance the sustainability of industry inputs, and provide the industrial sector with the necessary tools to optimize production costs.
The participating companies—Riyadh Cement Co., Saudi Cement Co., Yanbu Cement Co., Qassim Cement Co., Umm Al-Qura Cement Co., and Southern Province Cement Co. (SPCC)—highlighted the program's significance in offering immediate, developmental, and enabling solutions.
These solutions focus on transitioning to optimal energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and increasing awareness to adopt best practices and enhance long-term competitiveness.
The companies noted that the program includes a variety of immediate and developmental solutions designed to enhance the competitiveness of existing industrial enterprises in Saudi Arabia and help the sector access necessary tools to reduce production costs.
The Industrial Sector Competitiveness Program, overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, aims to boost the competitive capabilities of the Saudi industrial sector, improve product quality, and promote innovation.
It offers technical and financial support to industrial companies, applies international quality standards, and encourages research and development.
