Naqi Water Co. signed today, July 30, a SAR 20.13 million supply and purchase contract with Middle East Factory for Machines Co. (MEMCO) for a water bottling production line, as part of the ongoing construction of its new plant in Jazan.

In a statement on Tadawul, the company clarified that the deal involves a production line for bottled drinking water of various sizes. The contract will be financed via internal resources without external funding.

Naqi Water expects the new line to ramp up its production capacity by about 350 million bottles annually under normal operational conditions. The financial impact is anticipated to start in the second half of 2025.

This asset acquisition aligns with Naqi Water’s plan to establish a bottled water plant in Jazan. It also supports the company’s strategy to expand its production facilities and improve sales efficiency across the Kingdom.

MEMCO, in which board member Zaid Al-Nazir has an indirect interest, is a related party in this transaction. The company confirmed that the deal entails no preferential terms.

Naqi Water signed a contract last May with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) to lease an industrial land in Jazan’s industrial city for constructing a bottled water plant, according to Argaam’s data.
