Cluster 2 Co. reported the highest number of passengers during the first half of 2024, with 16% year-on-year (YoY) growth to 8.5 million passengers. The number of flights also rose 11% YoY to 74,800.
Launched on Jan. 1, 2022, the company operates and develops the Kingdom's local, regional and tourist airports. It manages and operates 22 airports across Saudi Arabia to achieve the Kingdom’s tourism goals and contribute to the aviation sector’s development.
The airports managed and operated by the company include AlUla International Airport, Najran Airport, Bisha Domestic Airport, Arar Domestic Airport, Sharurah Domestic Airport, Gurayat Domestic Airport, Jazan's King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport, and King Saud bin Abdulaziz (Al Baha).
In its H1 2024 operational performance report, Cluster 2 clarified the development in the number of flights and passengers in the six-month period, as follows:

The company stated that Najran International Airport recorded the highest number of flights in H1 2024, at 34.5%, followed by Prince Sultan International Airport in Tabuk (15.8%), then Arar Airport (6.8%), as shown in the following table:

The company added that Neom Bay Airport recorded the highest increase in the number of passengers in H1 2024, at 70%, followed by Najran Airport (38.3%), then Prince Sultan International Airport in Tabuk (23.3%), as shown in the table below:

Cluster 2 indicated that more than six new destinations were launched, namely (Najran-Cairo, Aldawani-Riyadh, Al-Jouf-Dubai, Rafhaa-Jeddah, Qassim-Abu Dhabi, and Jazan-Sharjah), via Air Arabia, Etihad Airways, Flydubai, and Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia).
Cluster 2 is a subsidiary of Matarat Holding Co., which was established on April 13, 2013. It manages and operates 27 airports across the Kingdom, according to data compiled by Argaam.
