Nazaha investigates 266 suspects, arrests 149 in July

The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) conducted 3,010 inspection tours and investigated 266 suspects in July.

 

Investigations were carried out against employees from the ministries of interior, defense, the National Guard, justice, health, education, municipalities and housing.

 

In a statement, Nazaha said 149 citizens and residents were arrested, in accordance with the Criminal Procedures Law, on charges of bribery, abuse of official influence and money laundry. Some of them were later released on bail.

 

The legal procedures are being completed to bring them to justice.
