AMAK says Acting CEO term ends, Jeffrey McDonnell takes helm

Almasane Alkobra Mining Co. (AMAK) stated that the term of Acting CEO Nihat Soyer ended today, Aug. 11, according to a Tadawul statement.

 

However, Soyer will continue as Mining Manager at the company, the statement noted, adding that the board appointed Jeffrey McDonnell as CEO, effective as of Aug. 12.

McDonnell is an Australian geochemist with over 35 years of track record in the global mining industry. His experience covers all stages of mining, from exploration to mine closure and rehabilitation, in addition to his extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and external relations.

 

He previously worked in various regions worldwide, including Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, North America, South America, Africa, and Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master’s degree of Applied Science in Geochemistry from Deakin and Monash Universities. He has also completed his postgraduate studies in Geology and Geophysics from University of California, Berkeley.
