The improvement in Q2 2023 financial results and the increase in revenues came thanks to management's efforts to increase interaction with customers and improve the product mix, in addition to competitive offers, coupled with the improvement in sales and expansions by International Applications and Icon.

He stated that sales of BinDawood stores amounted to SAR 450.1 million in Q2 2024, compared to SAR 465.8 million in Q2 2023, while Danube sales reached SAR 884.4 million, compared to SAR 870.5 million in Q2 2023.

The CEO also indicated that the branches in Makkah and Madinah showed an outstanding performance, although Ramadan coincided with the first quarter this year, compared to the second quarter last year, noting that the number of the company's branches reached 91 in Q2 2024.

The Danube and BinDawood Dash branches showed outstanding performance and work is still underway to improve the diversity of products and increase the number of branches, which are currently in nine locations, including high-speed train station stores. The company is also targeting residential complexes to be closer to its customers, said BinDawood.

He pointed out that the company is currently working on several projects, including geographical expansion in several regions within the Kingdom, adding that other projects will be unveiled soon and shareholders will be informed of them in due course.

The CEO also said that the loyalty program is a key component of BinDawood's strategy, as the number of registered members in the program exceeded 5.2 million in Q2 2024, which represented a substantial part of retail sales. He added that the percentage of sales by registered customers rose to more than 80%, compared to 70% in the same period last year.

The program was fully implemented through the International Applications Co., which was acquired in 2022, and now provides loyalty program creation and management services in the Kingdom.

Any commercial entity can benefit from the program at competitive prices and operate the program at the lowest costs, through a monthly subscription which is considered one of International Applications' main activities, BinDawood said.

According to data available to Argaam, BinDawood's profit rose to SAR 137 million (excluding minority interest) in H1 2024, up 14% from SAR 120.8 million a year ago. Q2 net profit amounted to SAR 78 million.
