Saudi students return to schools today

The new academic year begins in Saudi Arabia today, Aug. 18.

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Education, Yousef Al-Benyan, emphasized the wise leadership's support for the education sector in continuing to develop the education system and building a globally competitive citizen through educational programs and projects that are in line with future trends, as well as achieving the goals of the Kingdom's vision and the human capability development program.

The ministry aims to create a stimulating and appealing educational environment for students at the start of the school year by instilling values of seriousness and commitment. This includes psychological, social, and educational preparation programs, Al-Benyan explained.

Meanwhile, he stated that the ministry strengthened its partnership with a number of entities in the government and private sectors to work within an integrated partnership system to support the regularity and success of the educational process at the beginning of the new academic year.

The ministry also supported the continuation of the partnership with families to ensure the success of the educational process, the regular attendance of their children in school, and the motivation to continue their education.
