Oil tanks
Crude oil inventories in the US fell more than expected in the week ended Aug. 16, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Crude oil inventories fell by 4.6 million barrels last week, compared to expectations for a drop of about two million barrels.
Gasoline stocks decreased by 1.6 million barrels, while distillate fuel inventories were down by nearly 3.3 million barrels.
