GACO receives ruling from Riyadh Court in lawsuit against Agriculture Ministry

Al Gassim Investment Holding Co. (GACO) received from its lawyer today, Aug. 22, a ruling from the Administrative Court in Riyadh in the lawsuit filed against the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, indicating lack of territorial jurisdiction for case consideration.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said it will appeal against the ruling within 30 days from the date of its issuance.

Last May, GACO announced receiving a notification from the dispute resolution committee on fallow lands, dismissing the company's grievance against the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture regarding its appeal for full ownership of the revived area, according to Argaam’s data.

The company announced in June the filing of a lawsuit against the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture at the Administrative Court in Riyadh, to claim the remaining revived land.
