Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity market hits SAR 13.3B

The size of the cybersecurity market in Saudi Arabia reached SAR 13.3 billion in 2024, according to the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA).


Of this, 69% was contributed by private sector establishments, while government agencies accounted for the remaining 31%.

 

The sector contributed 0.39% to the Kingdom's gross domestic product (GDP) and 0.81% to the non-oil GDP, the authority's said a report on key economic indicators in the Kingdom's cybersecurity sector.

Spending of private sector establishments was divided into private sector establishments with sensitive infrastructure, with a value of SAR 2.8 billion, and other private sector establishments, with a value of SAR 6.4 billion.

 

Most of the spending of government entities and private sector establishments with sensitive infrastructure is in large and very large entities, as they are entities that supervise other entities affiliated to them. Medium-sized establishments spend most among the rest of the private sector establishments, as they represent the largest number of private sector establishments that require cybersecurity products, solutions and services, as shown in the following table:

The cybersecurity sector's contribution to GDP at current prices amounted to SAR 15.6 billion, 55% representing a direct contribution of SAR 8.6 billion and 45% as an indirect contribution of SAR 7 billion.

The number of providers of cybersecurity products, solutions and services registered with the NCA stood at 353, including 11 large establishments, 37 medium-sized establishments, 273 small establishments, and 32 micro establishments, according to the Authority.

 

The most prominent cybersecurity products, solutions and services in Saudi Arabia are network security, cybersecurity systems integration, endpoint security and management, cybersecurity operations center management, and cloud computing security.
