Saudi Arabia home for SAR 10B pharmaceuticals, medical devices factories: Ministry

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources affirmed that ambitious steps are being taken to localize the production of vaccines and medical devices in Saudi Arabia, in order to achieve pharmaceutical security. The total number of factories in this sector has reached 206, with total investments of SAR 10 billion.
 

There are 56 pharmaceutical factories with investments totaling SAR 7 billion, while the number of factories in the medical devices sector stands at 150, with investments of SAR 3 billion, the ministry said on X.
 

The ministry also highlighted the localization of ventilators used in intensive care units and diabetes devices.
