Saudi Fisheries appoints Abdulaziz Al-Humaid as Chairman, Mansour Al-Sagheer as Vice Chairman

Saudi Fisheries Co. (Alasmak) appointed Abdulaziz Al-Humaid as Chairman and Mansour Al-Sagheer as Vice Chairman, effective Sept. 3, according to a statement to Tadawul.

 

In a separate statement, the company said that the board of directors accepted the resignation of board member Ahmed Al-Balaa and appointed Al-Humaid as a board member (non-executive), until the end of the current term on Oct. 24, 2026.

Al-Humaid has extensive experience of more than 20 years in developing regional and international businesses and has experience in several different sectors, the statement added.  

 

He currently is President of Al Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Investment Committee of the Council of Saudi Chambers.

 

Al-Humaid is also Founder and Chairman of Raoom Trading Co. and the general supervisor of the Saudi Dates Factory, in addition to many memberships in the government and private sectors.

 

The board approval may not be deemed final, as this appointment shall be put before the first general assembly for approval, Saudi Fisheries noted.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co. (SALIC) completed the sale of its entire 16 million shares stake in Saudi Fisheries Co. representing 40% of capital to Al-Humaid.
