Debt Markets and Derivatives Forum 2024 (DMDF 2024) kicks off today, Sept. 8, in Riyadh under the patronage of Mohammed Bin Abdullah El-Kuwaiz, Chairman of Capital Market Authority (CMA) and Chairman of The Financial Academy’s Board of Trustees.

Argaam is the media sponsor for the one-day forum, which will be attended by financial sector leaders, experts and specialists in the field of securities, as part of the Academy’s initiatives aimed at developing and growing the financial sector across the Kingdom.

Mana Alkhamsan, CEO of The Financial Academy, said the forum comes within the academy’s strategy to build a variety of innovative solutions that are in line with the financial sector’s trends, enhance human cadres, and improve internal tools and capabilities.

DMDF 2024 also aims to spread the culture of excellence and continuous learning and support financial sustainability, Alkhamsan added, noting that the forum will include dialogue sessions and workshops with the participation of leaders and experts from the financial sector at the regional and international levels.

The forum seeks to delve into the contemporary landscape of economic evolution and the dynamic shifts in domestic, regional, and international investment strategies.

By fostering dialogue with esteemed thought leaders and financial policymakers, the forum aims to highlight the potential of financial markets, while cultivating strategic partnerships and identifying novel opportunities.

DMDF 2024, convened under the theme "Unleashing Growth Potential," will delve into pivotal topics shaping the financial sector. These include a comprehensive analysis of the Saudi debt market, the burgeoning development of derivatives markets in the Middle East, the transformative evolution of debt markets, and the prevailing local and global trends within the sector and its affiliated domains.

In conjunction with the forum, a series of specialized workshops dedicated to debt and derivatives markets will be conducted. These workshops will provide a nuanced understanding of debt as a strategic financing instrument for corporations, elucidating the mechanisms of debt issuance and its role in attracting capital.

Moreover, the workshops will demystify the intricate concepts underpinning options contracts and futures contracts within regulated markets, while shedding light on the pivotal role of debt and derivatives markets and the CFA program in equipping professionals with the requisite expertise to navigate this dynamic field.
