Almasane Alkobra Mining Co. (AMAK) unveiled its strategic growth plan extending until the end of 2025. The plan aims to strengthen its position in the mining industry in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 for economic diversification and sustainable development.

The plan comes as part of AMAK’s efforts to achieve the highest levels of sustainable economic growth

According to a statement to Tadawul, the strategy is based on several initiatives aimed at expanding and improving the scope of its operations to ensure the continuity of operational excellence and increase production capacity to achieve added value for all stakeholders and the local community.

The company pointed out that the key pillars of the strategy include developing Khutainah project for gold deposit production, expanding and developing nearby orebodies for gold deposits in Sukari 1, 2 and Alaqiq.

The strategy also aims to enhance operational efficiency and infrastructure, as well as start underground mining at Guyan gold mine.

Moreover, the strategy aspires to start the production of iron oxide ore from the Nuham site within three months of obtaining the mining license, which is in its final stages.

AMAK is to launch a new company specialized in drilling and exploration to support the company’s future expansions.

The company will build new facilities to increase the storage capacity of dry waste in a safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly manner, the statement noted.

In addition, the strategy aims to strengthen the company's portfolio by obtaining additional exploration licenses for promising sites for base metals and precious metals.

The company is to expand its activity to include exploration and mining of industrial minerals.

Furthermore, the strategy plans to connect facilities to the public electricity grid to enhance sustainability and reduce carbon emissions.

Any significant developments in this regard will be announced later, the statement added.
