Saudi Arabian banknotes
Saudi bank loans granted to non-financial government institutions and the private sector rose 12% to SAR 2.88 trillion in July 2024, compared to nearly SAR 2.56 trillion in July 2023, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
Private sector lending also increased 12% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.71 trillion in the same month.
Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial government institutions jumped 26% YoY to about SAR 168.7 billion by the end of July.
