National Agricultural Development Co. (NADEC) started implementing the master plans for its red meat production project in the Hail region, in partnership with United Feed Co., a subsidiary of the Al Muhaidib Group, CEO Solaiman Al-Twaijri told Argaam.

The project will reach full production in five years, Al-Twaijri added in an interview on the sidelines of the GPCA Agri-Nutrients Conference held in Riyadh.

Last year, NADEC unveiled its new strategy, which aims to continue supporting basic products such as dairy and juices, in addition to strengthening the role of agriculture and animal products, especially meat. The company's market share has witnessed remarkable growth over the past three years, thanks to the higher demand for dairy products as consumers move towards healthy products, Al-Twaijri stated.

Agri-nutrients are a key input in the company's agricultural production operations, given its reliance on wheat and potato cultivation. This is also due to cooperation with farmers who use fertilizers, which makes agri-nutrients a crucial element in agricultural and production operations, according to the top executive.

He also indicated that the volatile prices of fertilizers directly impact the final prices of food products, adding that despite the company's attempts to mitigate these effects, dealing with such challenges remains necessary and unavoidable.
