Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, said the industrial and mining sectors benefit significantly from artificial intelligence (AI), Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

He added that the ministry is on the right track to leveraging the AI through three key pathways, the first is the "Factories of the Future" project, which aims to transform 4,000 factories through integrating AI apps, 3D printing, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Meanwhile, the second pathway focuses on hosting leading technologies through business incubators, while the third is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs.

Alkhorayef emphasized that the industry is committed to adopting technology in general, including AI.

He anticipates that AI will play a direct role in factories through reducing costs, improving production efficiency, and managing warehouses, as well as connecting all logistics services. This integration is expected to positively impact the industrial products.
