Ministry of Industry issues 32 mining licenses in July

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 32 new mining licenses in July.

 

These included 16 exploration licenses, 10 building materials quarry licenses, three surplus mineral ore licenses and three mining and exploitation of small mines licenses, the Ministry added.

 

The total number of active mining licenses in the sector reached 2,281 by the end of July, led by building materials licenses (1,463), followed by exploration (556).  

 

The mining and exploitation of small mines came in third with 201 licenses, followed by reconnaissance (41 licenses) and surplus mineral ore (20 licenses). 

 

In June, the ministry issued 31 new mining licenses, including 12 exploration licenses, 11 building materials quarry licenses, five surplus mineral ore licenses, and three reconnaissance licenses.
