Al Jouf Cement Co. received the Compliance Program Completion Certificate from the General Authority for Competition (GAC), the cement producer said in a filing to Tadawul.
The company added that this is one of the programs provided by GAC to the establishments operating in the Saudi market.
The certificate was awarded after GAC evaluated the company's compliance program, which is subject to the authority standards.
The program includes, for example, training and educating the company’s employees on the Competition Law and its executive regulations, as well as appointing a compliance officer for the Competition Law. This is in addition to establishing an internal mechanism within the company for reporting any suspected violations of the Competition Law.
Al Jouf Cement stresses its continuous commitment to applying the highest standards of compliance with regulations, bylaws, and instructions.
This commitment stems from the company's dedication, represented by its board of directors and executive management, to giving due attention to all matters related to compliance with laws and regulations.
