The US trade deficit narrowed more than expected in August, according to data released on Sept. 27 by the US Census Bureau.
The trade deficit decreased by 8.3%, dropping to $94.3 billion from $102.7 billion in the previous month.
This figure is better than anticipated, as expectations had forecast a reduction to only $100 billion. August's recorded deficit is the lowest since March.
