Miahona Co. signed on Sept. 29 an agreement with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade to cooperate on developing water and wastewater treatment plants in the Fergana Valley and Jizzakh region.

In a statement on Tadawul, the company said the agreement will last one year or until a mutually agreed-upon date.

Under this agreement, Miahona aims to push forward negotiations for the development of water and wastewater treatment plants under the build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) and enhance-operate-maintain (EOM) models.

Miahona will explore opportunities to develop four new wastewater treatment plants as well as assess the potential to take over the operation and maintenance (O&M) of five existing water and wastewater treatment projects in the Fergana and Jizzakh regions.

The company believes this agreement supports its growth strategy in the international markets while continuing to provide sustainable water solutions, emphasizing that there are no related parties involved.

The financial impact will be determined at a later stage after completing the due diligence process, Miahona noted.
