The Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC) is working to enable all local companies and institutions to benefit from the temporary import system for goods to facilitate temporary importation for a maximum of one year, requiring no fees or taxes or any customs procedures, Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported.

FSC informed all companies and institutions that the Temporary Goods Entry Unit will receive applications from those seeking to obtain the service as of this date.

According to data available on Argaam, FSC recently announced the issuance of the first ATA Carnet, since the official adoption of this system began last June.

Swiss-based Richemont received the first ATA Carnet from FSC. This step is part of the Kingdom's commitment to the Istanbul Convention on temporary admission.

ATA Carnet is an international customs document issued by an authorized chamber of commerce to facilitate the entry of goods into one or more foreign countries without the need to submit any bonds or pay taxes and fees, or other customs procedures.
