Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud
The fourth annual Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) kicked off today, Oct. 2, in Riyadh, under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the theme "Advancing Collective Action in Cyberspace.”
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman welcomed the guests in the opening remarks.
On behalf of King Salman, the Crown Prince said that Saudi Arabia has always been a force for good for all that is in the interest of humanity.
The Kingdom is keen on consolidating joint international action to serve the development and prosperity, as it launched many initiatives aimed at achieving these objectives across all fields.
Cyberspace today is closely linked to the growth of economies, the prosperity of societies, the security of individuals and the stability of countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing the Crown Prince.
In 2020, Saudi Arabia launched two global initiatives focused on child protection in cyberspace and empowering women in cybersecurity, under the supervision of the GCF Institute.
The Crown Prince highlighted the efforts made in favor of these two initiatives.
Accordingly, he announced the launch of the Child Protection in Cyberspace (CPC) Global Summit, hosted by the Kingdom, as the first global summit of its kind with the objectives of unifying international efforts and enhancing the global response to the threats against children in cyberspace.
