Oil tanks
Crude oil inventories in the US saw an unexpected gain in the week ended Sept. 27, rising 3.9 million barrels versus forecasts if a 1.5 million-barrel drop.
Gasoline stocks rose by 1.1 million barrels and distillate inventories —including diesel and heating oil — fell by 1.3 million barrels, latest data by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.
