Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co. (Cenomi Retail) set a new world record by opening 12 new Subway branches across Saudi Arabia on the same day, according to a statement to Tadawul.
Strategically situated at prime locations in Riyadh and Dammam, the new outlets will include four traditional restaurants, two non-traditional branches in corporate offices and six cloud kitchens in high-demand delivery areas. The outlets utilize the latest technologies to cater to a wide range of consumer segments while supporting the strategy of improving operational costs and providing the best customer experience.

The company anticipates that the new stores will begin contributing to revenue from Q4 2024 onward, with a payback period of less than 2.5 years, which is lower than the sector average of 3 years.
The expected revenue contribution is nearly SAR 13 million, alongside the adoption of the latest industry technologies and reduced capital expenditure requirements.
Salim Fakhouri, CEO of Cenomi Retail, noted that in collaboration with its partners, the company aims to open 50 food and beverage stores by the end of the year, having already launched 31 stores to date. This aligns with its strategy of focusing on leading premium brands to enhance sector performance in 2024 and beyond.
The company is exploring the introduction of more unique and innovative restaurant concepts both within the Kingdom and internationally to meet the rapidly evolving needs of today’s consumers, Fakhouri added.
