Sipchem to shut down IPC for scheduled maintenance

Sahara International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) plans a scheduled shutdown of its affiliate, International Polymers Co. (IPC), for periodic maintenance, according to a statement on Tadawul today, Oct. 10.

 

The scheduled turnaround maintenance will enhance the plant’s reliability and meet future operational plans.

Sipchem anticipates a 12-day halt starting today, as part of its 2024 business plan and budget.

 

The shutdown’s financial impact will be based on the actual turnaround duration and average selling prices, which will be reflected in Q4 2024 financials.

 

The company has taken all necessary precautions to mitigate any disruption to its customers and will announce updates on any new developments in due course.
