GAC fines 5 contracting companies for collusion in govt projects

The General Authority for Competition (GAC) imposed total penalties worth SAR 189,370 on five contracting companies for collusion in government projects.

 

In a statement on X, the authority explained that after gathering evidence and conducting the necessary investigations, the violations were referred to the Committee for Adjudication of Competition Law Violations.

 

Accordingly, the committee issued decisions to penalize Mohammed Ali Afaisan Al-Yami Co. with SAR 91,750, Misfer Ali Afaisan General Contracting Co. (SAR 73,040), Diamond Directions General Contracting Co. (SAR 14,900), Bandar Misfer Mohammed Al-Awad General Contracting Co. (SAR 7,409), as well as Planning and Urbanization General Contracting Co. (SAR 2,275).
