Loans to govt entities, private sector up to SAR 2.92T in August

Saudi bank loans granted to non-financial government institutions and the private sector rose 13% to SAR 2.92 trillion in August 2024, compared to nearly SAR 2.59 trillion in August 2023, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also increased 12% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.74 trillion in the same month.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial government institutions jumped 24% YoY to about SAR 173.3 billion by the end of August.
