Licenses award ceremony during the Global Logistics Forum


The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) granted four licenses to practice commercial and logistics business in Riyadh Integrated Special Logistics Zone to international companies in the field of innovative technology, artificial intelligence (AI), logistics services and e-commerce, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The licenses were granted during the Global Logistics Forum 2024, organized by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services. Held at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, the event runs between Oct. 12-14.

 

One commercial license was bestowed to Sapphire, a subsidiary of Alat Company, in partnership with one of the leading companies in the innovative tech and AI sector to carry out light industrial and logistics services.

 

In the manufacturing field, GACA granted a commercial license to Bahri Logistics Services Co. to provide logistics services to Boeing, in relation to aircraft spare parts. It also handed over a manufacturing license to Danish company Danfoss to conduct light industrial operations.

 

In the field of e-commerce, GACA granted a commercial license to Shein to distribute their products and create a distribution center in the Riyadh Integrated Zone to be a regional hub serving the MENA region.
