The inauguration ceremony

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to South Africa, Faisal bin Falah Al-Harbi, SMSA inaugurated its regional headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This initiative is part of SMSA's continuous efforts to provide integrated logistics solutions that support the business sector and enhance trade exchange, offering companies in the African continent the opportunity to benefit from the Kingdom’s transformation into a global logistics hub connecting Africa, Asia, and Europe, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

SMSA has acquired Namlog Group, which groups five companies operating in six countries (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, and Zambia). This acquisition will enhance the company’s global competitiveness, serving trade between Saudi Arabia and African countries. The acquisition is also part of SMSA's regional and international expansion plan.

Namlog Group is considered one of the leading companies in the field of transportation and specialized logistics services in South Africa and neighboring countries, serving a number of global companies in key sectors such as mining, automotive, and consumer goods.

It is worth noting that since SMSA commenced its operations in 1994, it has continuously expanded its range of services to include international and domestic express transportation, air, sea, and land freight, customs clearance, e-commerce solutions, specialized healthcare services, dedicated delivery channels, mailroom management, and many other services. These have qualified SMSA to become the ideal logistics partner for many prestigious companies.
