Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) set a cap for the cost of recruiting domestic workers from Tanzania at SAR 5,700, VAT inclusive, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The decision is part of the ministry’s ongoing initiatives to offer more diverse and affordable options for citizens and residents seeking domestic workers. The move aims to regulate and control recruitment prices while ensuring the quality of services provided in the market.
The ministry emphasized that all recruitment agencies must comply with the announced price cap to avoid penalties for violating the regulations governing labor recruitment services. It also noted that the enforcement of these regulations will be monitored through the Musaned platform.
The ministry seeks to improve the labor market environment by regularly reviewing recruitment costs, services, and regulations in line with economic changes and industry needs.
