Qassim sees 66 projects launched for SAR 4B

Qassim Governor Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud inaugurated and laid the foundation stone today Oct. 20, for 66 development projects in the environment, water, and agriculture sectors, exceeding SAR 4 billion in value.

 

This came in the attendance of Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli.

In detail, National Water Co. (NWC) is executing 21 projects worth over SAR 2 billion to expand water and environmental service coverage and enhance service quality in Qassim, the governor explained.

 

This includes 10 water service projects, featuring the construction of 13 purification plants and the expansion of several water networks to serve the province’s towns and governorates. This is alongside 11 projects aimed at improving sewage services.

 

He also highlighted the ongoing efforts undertaken under the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program, entailing building a marketing services hub for agricultural products and developing a model complex for animal production in Qassim.
