The number of students currently enrolled in the general education stages reached 6.72 million, according to the latest data posted by the Saudi Ministry of Education on its official X account.
As many as 36,800 schools with 22,000 buildings are operating in the Kingdom, the ministry added.
Primary school students accounted for 49% of the total student number, while intermediate students represented over 23%.
