Oil tanks
Crude oil inventories in the US rose more than expected in the week ended Oct. 18, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Crude oil inventories increased by about 5.5 million barrels last week, compared to expectations for a rise of about 900,000 barrels.
Gasoline stocks increased by 900,000 barrels, while distillate fuel inventories were down by nearly 1.1 million barrels.
