SAL names Omar Hariri as CEO

SAL Saudi Logistics Services Co.’s board of directors approved the appointment of Omar Hariri as CEO, effective as of Nov. 1, the company said in as statement to Tadawul.

 

According to the company, Hariri is deemed one of the Saudi distinguished professionals, having proven his expertise over 20 years in various leadership positions within the transport and logistics sector.

He served as President of the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) until the end of October 2024, where he spearheaded the implementation of the port sector strategy under the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics.

 

Before joining MAWANI, Hariri was CEO of SAL and Saudia Cargo Co., where he played a key role in establishing SAL as part of the company’s transformation strategy.

 

Throughout his career, Hariri has held several senior leadership roles at prominent global companies, including CEO of FedEx Express and Vice President of DHL Express in Saudi Arabia, the company added.

 

According to data available to Argaam, SAL’s board of directors accepted, on Sept. 19, the resignation of Managing Director and CEO Faisal Albedah, effective as of Nov. 1.
