US natural gas inventories rose by 78 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Oct. 25, slightly below the anticipated 79-bcf rise.
This is considered the 11th successive weekly rise for natural gas inventories.
Total natural gas stocks reached 3.86 trillion cubic feet (tcf), up 2.8%, or approximately 107 bcf, compared to the same period last year, according to data released today, Oct. 31, by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Additionally, inventories are 4.8%, or around 178 bcf, above the five-year average (2019-2023) of 3.68 tcf.
