ACWA Power’s Tashkent Riverside solar PV project starts commercial ops

ACWA Power Co. received today, Nov. 7, a notice from its Uzbekistan-based special purpose vehicle — developer of the Tashkent Riverside solar photovoltaic (PV) project — on obtaining the commercial operation certificate of Plant 1 at the utility-scale solar PV-battery energy storage system (BESS) project.

 

According to a statement to Tadawul, the project, 100% owned by ACWA Power, consists of Plant 1, featuring a 200-MW solar PV plant, and Plant 2, which is a 334 MWAC (550 MWh) BESS that is still under construction.

The Saudi-listed company expects the related financial impact to be reflected in Q4 2024 onwards, the statement added.
