The total income of Saudi drivers working via the ride-hailing applications in the Kingdom exceeded SAR 1.1 billion during the first nine months of 2024, said the General Transport Authority (TGA).

The total number of trips carried out by such applications in various cities and regions of the Kingdom amounted to more than 51.8 million, up 41% quarter-on-quarter in Q3 2024 and by 12% year-to-date compared to the same period last year, the authority added in a statement today.

It explained that these trips are provided through 46 licensed ride-hailing applications in the Kingdom.

The Riyadh Province topped the list of cities by number of trips, recording 39% of the total trips. It was followed by Makkah Province with 25%, and the Eastern Province with 16%.
