Prince Faisal bin Ayyaf, Mayor of the Riyadh Region, said several land plots have been removed from suspension list and further updates will follow soon.

Upcoming announcements will clarify whether these lands are designated for development or subject of lifting of restrictions.

At a session during Cityscape Global, Ayyaf explained that land bans in Riyadh were a necessary measure, while acknowledging their negative impact. He emphasized a commitment to lifting these bans promptly, highlighting the positive effects of recent removals.

Land bans are imposed only after careful evaluation, with decisions made to serve the public interest. This process includes comprehensive studies to determine project types, building codes, or the potential removal of restrictions.

According to data available with Argaam, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) recently lifted restrictions on the sale, purchase, subdivision, and fragmentation of large land plots in the northern part of Riyadh, particularly around the New Murabba Project.
