GAC imposes SAR 314,000 fines on 3 contractors for collusion in govt projects

The General Authority for Competition (GAC) imposed SAR 314,000 in fines on three contracting companies for collusion in government projects.

 

In a statement, the authority explained that after gathering evidence and conducting the necessary investigations, the violations were referred to the Committee for Adjudication of Competition Law Violations.

 

Accordingly, the committee issued decisions to penalize Rukn Al-Tasafi General Contracting Co. with SAR 141,000, Manar Al-Madun Operation and Maintenance Establishment (SAR 125,000), as well as Fahad bin Ali Al Salem Contracting Establishment (SAR 48,000).

 

GAC added that the committee’s decision is definite given the issuance of final rulings from the Administrative Court of Appeal.
