US natural gas inventories fell by two billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Nov. 22, in line with expectation.
This is considered the second weekly decline in a row.
Total natural gas stocks reached 3.967 trillion cubic feet (tcf), up 3.5%, or approximately 134 bcf, compared to the same period last year, according to data released on Nov. 27 by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Additionally, inventories are 7.2%, or around 267 bcf, above the five-year average (2019-2023) of 3.7 tcf.
