US crude oil inventories declined more-than-expected in the week ended Nov. 22, while gasoline and distillates inventories grew, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Crude oil inventories fell 1.8 million barrels last week, versus the Wall Street Journal’s survey expectations of a 500,000-barrel decrease.

Gasoline stocks increased by 3.3 million barrels, contrary to projections of a 600,000-barrel drop. Meanwhile, distillate stocks, including diesel and heating oil, added nearly 400,000 barrels, compared to estimates of a 300,000-barrel rise.
