Arabian Mills gets GFSA nod to expand output capacity

Arabian Mills for Food Products Co. announced today, Nov. 28, that the Governor of the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) approved the amendment of its main license (02), authorizing the company to operate its affiliated branches.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that under the decision, its Riyadh branch will run at an annual flour production capacity of 854,250 tons, up 11.7% from the current 765,000 tons.

The Hail branch will have an annual statement production capacity of 201,000 tons, up from 180,000 tons presently, also reflecting an increase of 11.7%.

 

Elsewhere, the Jazan branch's annual flour production capacity will rise by a similar 11.7% to 402,000 tons of flour, from 360,000 tons at present.

 

Data compiled by Argaam revealed that the GFSA's board of directors recently approved the export of locally-produced flour to global markets by licensed milling companies.
