Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports increased 15% year-on-year (YoY) in September to SAR 69.9 billion, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Meanwhile, merchandise imports rose 1%, or nearly SAR 436.2 million, month-on-month (MoM), as follows:

Imports of machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment, and their parts accounted for 27%, or SAR 19.2 billion, of the total Saudi imports in September.
Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment came in second at 16%.
