Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman stressed the Kingdom's determination to contribute effectively to the development of football around the world, and to spread messages of love, peace and tolerance, armed with its great capabilities and potential, in addition to the energies of the people of the Kingdom and their high spirits to overcome difficulties, among the fruits of which was winning the bid to host the World Cup officially.

This came after FIFA officially announced earlier today that Saudi Arabia was chosen to host the 2034 World Cup, making it the first and only country in history to win the organization of this global event with the presence of 48 teams from different continents of the world.

Saudi Arabia officially submitted its bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup in July under the slogan "Growing. Together." The bid file reveals the general plan for the World Cup, which the Kingdom plans to host in five major cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Abha, and NEOM.

The five host cities will feature 15 state-of-the-art stadiums, including 11 new. Riyadh has eight stadiums designated for World Cup matches, including the new King Salman Stadium with a capacity of 92,000 spectators. The stadium is set to host both the opening and final matches of the tournament and will become the new home stadium for the Saudi national team.

The Crown Prince extended his sincere congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on this occasion.
