The US natural gas inventories decreased by 125 billion cubic feet (Bcf) during the week ended Dec. 13, above expectations of a decline by 123 Bcf.
Total natural gas reserves amounted to 3.622 trillion cubic feet, an increase of 0.6%, or about 20 billion cubic feet, compared to the same period last year, showed the data from the US Energy Information Administration.
The current inventories are higher by 3.8%, or about 132 billion cubic feet, above the five-year average (2019-2023) of 3.490 trillion cubic feet.
