The monitoring and direct reporting operations carried out by the supervisory teams of the Kingdom’s relevant authorities resulted in the detection of a number of violations, including the failure to provide diesel fuel or refusing to sell it, with 12 stations closed and regulatory penalties implemented against 152 violating stations.

Under the supervision of the Permanent Executive Committee for Service Centers and Fuel Stations, the supervisory teams visited 1,371 gas stations in 78 cities and governorates in various regions of the Kingdom, during Dec. 30-31, 2024, with the aim of verifying the availability of petroleum products of all kinds.

The committee stressed the importance of fuel stations’ commitment to the requirements of fuel stations and service centers, as well as the relevant laws and regulations, including that qualified facilities operate, manage and maintain fuel stations, and commit to providing all required petroleum products continuously, according to the station category.
