Tanmiah Food Co.’s subsidiary, Agricultural Development Company (ADC), signed a contract with Chengdu Design & Research Institute (CDI) to build 100 poultry broiler farms, according to a statement to Tadawul today, Jan. 7.
Under the deal, ADC will undertake the necessary construction work for the preparation of infrastructure, equipment and buildings for the broiler farms, it added.

Tanmiah also indicated that work on the project is scheduled to commence this January, in a bid for completion in December 2026. Commercial operations are set to begin in January 2027.
The SAR 165 million project aims to establish cutting-edge farms in Saudi Arabia, equipped with Industry 4.0 technologies on ADC-owned lands.
In terms of funding, long-term deferred payment plans have been reached in order to finance the project.
The related financial impact is linked to the overall expansion strategy and is likely to be reflected in the company's financial statements starting January 2027.
The project's commercial production is projected to kick off in January 2027, Tanmiah further stated.
According to the company, this project will complement future expansions in primary processing, in line with its overall expansion strategy.
According to data available to Argaam, Tanmiah’s subsidiary ADC signed on Oct. 24, 2024, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the branch of Chengdu Design & Research Institute and Jiangsu Huali Co. Ltd. to conduct a feasibility study to establish state-of-the-art poultry farms in Saudi Arabia, incorporating automation and Industry 4.0 tech.
