WTW Reinsurance gets IA’s final license for doing business

The Insurance Authority (IA) issued its final license for WTW Reinsurance Brokerage Co., a unit of WTW Global, through direct investment in the Saudi insurance sector.

 

In a statement today, Jan. 7, the authority reiterated the significant role of reinsurance brokers in driving development and growth in the local insurance sector and raising its GDP contribution.

 

Through licensing these activities, IA seeks to help achieve the targeted retention rates and integration between licensed entities. This is by organizing the arrangements and operations of reinsurance between insurance and reinsurance players.

 

The authority also stressed the importance of dealing with licensed firms, which can be tracked via its official website.
